According to Metro Police, Jeffrie Prendergast, 18, was attempting to flee from a police officer when he was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro. Jordan Posantes, 19 years old, and Bravo rode in the Camaro.
The three allegedly hooked up with about 150 other street racers just off Powell Avenue.
was a lovely kid,” Manuel Bravo Martinez, Johnny’s older brother, told WSMV. He complied with our parents, but I assume that’s what being raised by strict parents does to a child—it makes them incredibly rebellious.
According to Martinez, Johnny generally notifies their family while he is leaving. Instead, he slipped out the window this time to make it to the car meet-up.
Johnny’s older brother claimed that if Johnny had persisted on going, he would have discouraged him from going but would have driven him personally.
Martinez remarked, “Nothing except a bunch of idiots go up there, but you know, I get it. Teenagers are immature and eager to explore new things. I only wish my brother had informed me.
When police tried to stop the boys on Powell Avenue, he said they might have been racing their Camaro.
“Things just kept going, and now they’re gone.”
According to his brother, Johnny had a thing for sneakers and loved to dress in luxury labels.
