Gary Mason Died of Heart Attack , Bishop ODowd High School Dean

We regret to inform you that our dear Dean, Gary Mason, passed away this morning due to a heart attack.

Gary proudly and honorably served our O’Dowd community for more than 37 years. He was known as “Mase” and provided our pupils with compassionate, just, and loving care. He was a happy person who loved the kids and took great pride in his leadership at O’Dowd.

We often find it difficult to comprehend death, particularly when it occurs suddenly.

We will all be experiencing a range of feelings, including shock, sadness, and confusion. The fact that we assist and care for one another is more crucial.

We know that his passing will have a significant impact on our community given his longevity and prominence.
